Bishop Gregory Aymond was installed as the Archbishop of New Orleans, LA in June 2009. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Bishop of Austin, TX.  Archbishop Aymond is the founder and director of Christ the Healer Medical Mission Program and an active member of the Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth for the USCCB.   Bishop Aymond was ordained for priestly service in the Archdiocese of New Orleans in May 1975.  He serves as the Episcopal Moderator for the Episcopal Board of Catholic Leadership Institute.
