Most Rev. Jaime Soto Bishop of Sacramento, CA
Bishop Jaime Soto was ordained the Bishop of Sacramento on November 30, 2008. A year prior to his installation Bishop Soto was appointed the coadjutor bishop for the diocese. Under his leadership, he served as the Moderator of the Curia and Vicar for Hispanics and Other Ethnic Ministries. He also represented many pastoral and civic groups. Currently he is a member of the Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth for the USCCB. The Diocese of Sacramento is home to more than half-a-million Catholics. Bishop Soto was ordained for priestly service in the Diocese of Orange, California in June 1982.
