Learning Leader
Position Summary:
The Learning Leader is responsible for working with the Mission Implementation Team to meet the Catholic Leadership Institute’s strategic plan objectives for leadership development programs. Duties include presentation of leadership development instructional programs, participation in program design, and completion of all associated functions to support the growth of Catholic Leadership Institute’s efforts to serve the priests, laity and parishes of the Roman Catholic Church.
Recruitment Requirements:
1. Experience
- Proven track record of successfully delivering soft skills training to adult learners, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats to include role playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
- Demonstrated experience with leadership development strategies, methods, and best practices.
- Experience working independently over periods of time without daily direction.
- Experience leading others in organizations preferred.
2. Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of Catholic parish life and ministry.
- Management/mentoring skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories, learning styles, and adult motivation techniques.
- Classroom management and group facilitation skills; ability to actively engage learners.
- Ability to interact and influence at all levels of an organization.
- Working knowledge with Microsoft products required.
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
3. Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, Theology or related fields. Master’s Degree preferred.
4. Travel: Our training development takes place at the host diocese. Our Learning Leaders are traveling 75% of the time.
5. Practicing Catholic in good standing.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Program/Services
- Lead, present and facilitate CLI curriculum materials to Catholic priests and lay leaders in order that the study and practice of leadership skills may enable our learners to better fulfill their own ministries within the Church.
- Study, learn and master CLI curriculum and Church and leadership materials in order to bring continuously growing expertise and credibility to the learning leader role.
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of CLI curriculum materials in order to achieve CLI’s mission and obligations to its client groups.
People/Relationships
- Collaborate, consult, and build credibility with appropriate team members, board members, and external subject matter experts and stakeholders to help CLI continue to develop world-class pastoral leadership formation services for the Catholic Church.
We offer: Competitive salary and meaningful ministry Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
