EXTON, PA, October 7, 2008 – The Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI) will present the 2008 Awards for Outstanding Catholic Leadership to four national Catholic leaders at a reception and dinner to be held Friday, November 7th at the Drexelbrook, 4700 Drexelbrook Drive, Drexel Hill, PA.
The 2008 honorees include:
- Immaculée Ilibagiza, activist for children orphaned by genocide and author of Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust and Led By Faith: Rising from the Ashes of the Rwandan Genocide.
- Sr. Francesca Onley, CSFN, Ph.D., an esteemed educator and the longest-serving president of Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA.
- Robert J. Sims, nationally-recognized financial, community and Church leader and friend to priests throughout the world.
“CLI developed the Awards for Outstanding Catholic Leadership in 2000 to recognize people in the Catholic Church whose exemplary leadership in the family, the workplace, the community and the Church has been inspired by their Catholic faith,” said Timothy C. Flanagan, founder and chairman of the Catholic Leadership Institute. “The lay, clergy and religious men and women named this year have inspired and led others, serving as role models for future Church and lay leaders.”
A reception beginning at 6:00 p.m. will be followed by dinner and the awards ceremony. Tickets are available for $150 per person.
