Gloria P. Kalman

Gloria was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Queens Village, NY. After attending high school and Queensborough Community College of CCNY, she worked for Bankers Trust Co. in NYC as a Training Specialist for five years.

During that time, she met and married Frank Kalman, her husband of 48 years. After the birth of two daughters, she no longer worked outside the home and devoted her time to her family, community and parish activities. Over the years, she had the pleasure of seeing her and Frank’s parents through their senior years, with all of its challenges.

Gloria’s family moved from NY to CT, in 1975 where they lived for 5 years. A new opportunity for Frank took them to Los Angeles, CA for three years before finally settling in Houston, TX in 1982.

Frank and Gloria are products of Catholic education, as are their daughters and now grandchildren. They have strong foundations in the Catholic faith and desire for the Church to grow and continue to thrive for future generations.

Both their married daughters live in Houston and they are a very close-knit family of ten. Frank and Gloria are blessed with four grandchildren.

Gloria has traveled extensively over the years for both Frank’s business and for pleasure. Travel remains Gloria’s favorite activity. While relaxing at home, she enjoys golf, cooking, needlepoint, reading, and engaging with her four grandchildren.
