Julie Cilano

Leadership Consultant

Julie joined Catholic Leadership Institute in 2022. She has fifteen years of experience in Catholic ministry, including diocesan, parish, collegiate campus ministry, counseling and coaching.

Julie’s experience informs her integrated and person-centered approach to all aspects of her work at her full-time job as the Career Coach and Student Experience Manager in The Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America. She also teaches the Parish Administration Skills course for the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies, and serves on The Busch School of Business’ Master of Science in Ecclesial Administration and Management committee. Julie strives to help clients and students become competent and confident in discovering and exploring their God given hopes and ambitions for the future.

Originally from New Orleans, Julie attended Louisiana State University for college, and later worked for the Diocese of Baton Rouge in youth and young adult ministry and in parish ministry. In 2014 she moved to Washington, DC and worked in collegiate campus ministry. Julie is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) with her MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. She also has an MA in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University New Orleans.

Julie and her husband, Mike, are currently in the adoption process and live in the Archdiocese of Washington.
