Kelley Basta
Leadership Consultant
Kelley Basta joined Catholic Leadership Institute in April 2024 as a Leadership Consultant. Kelley currently serves as Owner and President of St. Louis Screens. Prior to purchasing this start-up business with her husband in 2022, Kelley spent 12 years leading various functions at Panera Bread, including: Controller, VP Consumer & Support Services, and most recently the VP of Operations Innovation & Excellence. Her diversity of roles centered around building teams for growth and transformation. Prior to Panera, Kelley spent 13 years in controllership, compliance, and M&A roles at Amdocs, an international software growth company.
Kelley has a long history of passion for the Catholic Church and evangelization, stretching back to high school when her faith was set on fire in a Catholic charismatic youth group. She has continued to be involved with various aspects of evangelization from giving retreats in high school; to teaching 8th grade catechesis and hosting small faith sharing groups; to most recently, initiating an “Evangelization Leadership Team” at her parish.
Kelley holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Butler University in Indianapolis as well as a CPA certification. Her personal mission is to help people discover, develop, and delight in their personal vocation. She and her husband Jim are members of Holy Spirit Parish in St. Louis. They have 4 children (mostly grown) and love to spend time with them, often visiting them in different cities. Kelley also enjoys exercising, leisure time with friends, and watching college basketball.
