Mary Serafino

Communications Manager

Mary joined Catholic Leadership Institute in January 2023 after 9 years of working in communications for various nonprofits, in missions specific to priestly formation, the prolife movement, and children with disabilities. In her role as Communications Specialist for Kenrick-Glennon Seminary from 2016-2022, Mary developed a passion for the formation of future priests and leaders within the Catholic Church. She has managed and led cross-channel communications strategies with internal and external implementation in her professional career and has extensive experience collaborating with dioceses, bishops, and priests in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and around the world. Mary is a writer/storyteller across several mediums with experience in video and graphic design.

An active member and cantor at the historic Basilica of St. Louis the King, “The Old Cathedral,” Mary is also finishing her studies as a Catechist with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. She teaches in the atrium at St. Francis Xavier College Church.

Mary enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling the world. She has made pilgrimages to Rome and Israel and completed the Camino de Santiago “The Way of St. James” on foot in 2018. Mary is a children’s book author and is excited to launch her first title in a series on the concept of pilgrimage. Sunday is her favorite day of the week when friends often visit and make themselves at home for brunch or dinner.
