Welcomes & Wisdom

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” Romans 15:7

Dear Friends,

I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! This week, our team prayed for all those leaders who labor for our faith and labor for the mission of Catholic Leadership Institute.

A few weeks ago, I sent you an email sharing one of Catholic Leadership Institute’s own labors of love: welcoming people to know our Lord. The responses I received were so fantastic that I had to send a follow-up email.

This time, we welcome YOUR ideas!

Tell us about:

  1. Great ideas you have seen for welcoming people to grow in relationship with Our Lord, to become more engaged in parish life, and to participate in Mass – both virtually and in person.
  2. Maybe some not-so-great attempts that we can learn from – mistakes are the best way to grow!
  3. Your own ideas – tell us what’s on your heart and in your head – we greatly value your experience and insights.

Catholic Leadership Institute loves to gather ideas and learnings so that we can share them with parishes around the country. Please email me to share your thoughts or request a phone conversation. We are ready to listen, learn, and welcome!

p.s. DATA INSIGHT: Did you know that there is a correlation between how deep your faith is and how welcoming your parish might be? Our Disciple Maker Index data from over 300,000 participants reveals that the stronger respondents report their faith to be, the more welcoming they report their parish to be. As you welcome people to your parish, virtually and in-person, know that you are welcoming them to grow closer to Christ!

Speaking of virtual welcomes, we continue to welcome you to join us for our prayer challenge!
