To change or not to change? In this intense political season, we are constantly bombarded by claims of "flip-flops". Most of the time, it is probably fair to call out politicians for pandering. However, it's been a good opportunity for me to think about my "flip flops" - the times I have walked something back, changed direction or turned 180 degrees. Did I exploit a possibility or expand one? Did it make me more creative or less? Did it add something or did it take something away? Most importantly, did my evolution model the change the Gospel calls for or did it pander to the change society begs me to embrace? Ultimately, the fact checker in my own heart asked me to choose - was I trying to win or was I trying to follow? I hope your fact checker works faster than mine!
