David Lugo
Leadership Consultant
David Lugo is a Leadership Consultant with more than 20 years of experience in Catholic education, pastoral ministry, and theological scholarship. He has served in a variety of educational and leadership roles, including university administration, teaching, academic program development, retreat ministry, and pastoral programs throughout the United States and abroad.
Originally from the Dominican Republic and raised in Texas, David holds degrees in Physics, Philosophy, and Theology from Texas A&M University, Saint Louis University, the University of Toronto, and Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
His love of learning has led to a particular interest in teaching Theology and Ignatian Spirituality, as well as exploring the ways faith and leadership intersect in the life of the Church.
Following years of formation in the Society of Jesus, David pursued doctoral studies in Spain focused on the nature of salvation as understood in the thought of St. Ignatius of Loyola. His work in Ignatian spirituality continues to shape his approach to ministry, particularly his belief in the power of spiritual conversation and discernment to help people recognize God’s presence and respond to His call.
David enjoys engaging in spiritual conversation with others, whether in English or his native Spanish. He lives in South Florida with his wife and daughter and enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with his family.
