Eugene Mangiante

Leadership Consultant

Eugene (Gene) Mangiante, III is a seasoned operations leader dedicated to strengthening organizations, developing people, and advancing mission‑driven work. With more than 25 years of experience guiding complex teams and multi‑site operations, he brings a steady, service‑oriented leadership style rooted in integrity, accountability, and a deep commitment to helping others thrive. Gene’s vocation as a leader is shaped by his Catholic faith and his desire to build communities where people are supported, empowered, and invited to grow.

Gene currently serves as Director of Operations for At Home Healthcare in West Tennessee, where he oversees regional operational performance, staff development, patient experience, and strategic initiatives. He aligns clinical, administrative, and operational functions to ensure compassionate, high‑quality care for patients and families, with a leadership approach centered on process improvement, team culture, and sustainable growth. Prior to joining At Home Healthcare, Gene held executive and senior leadership roles across healthcare, retail, and entrepreneurial settings. As Chief Operating Officer for a multi‑unit chiropractic franchise group, he led all functional areas—including finance, HR, marketing, and operations—while guiding six clinics through expansion, organizational integration, and performance optimization. He also served as a regional developer team member supporting dozens of clinics across three states, helping franchisees strengthen operations, improve financial outcomes, and accelerate their path to profitability. Prior to this, Gene directed retail operations for a medical uniform manufacturer and retailer, returning a multimillion‑dollar division to profitability through disciplined financial management, operational restructuring, and team development. His entrepreneurial background includes founding, acquiring, and scaling a multi‑state photography company that grew through strategic acquisitions, operational improvements, and expanded service lines before he successfully sold the business.

A committed community leader, Gene has strengthened several nonprofit and parish initiatives across Memphis. He is the Founder and Board President of The Angel Program Fund, a 501(c)(3) that provides funding to support a program within a Catholic school offering inclusion‑based instruction for children living with autism, funding teachers, therapists, and program expansion to ensure long‑term sustainability. At Holy Rosary Catholic Church, he co‑led strategic planning and stewardship efforts that increased financial participation and helped shape the parish’s architectural master plan. As Board Chair and Treasurer of the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, Gene expanded outreach to families experiencing homelessness, grew financial reserves, and launched new development initiatives. During nearly a decade of service on the Christian Brothers High School Alumni Board—including terms as Vice President and President—he expanded board membership, modernized communication and giving platforms, and strengthened alumni engagement. He continues to volunteer with faith‑based nonprofits, bringing his business and leadership experience to serve God and His Church, and is known for his ability to unite teams, build operational clarity, and lead with purpose—always with a focus on service, people, and long‑term mission.

Gene lives within the Diocese of Memphis, where he and his wife, Denise, make their home with their two teenage boys and two Goldendoodles. His family are members of Church of the Incarnation in Collierville, Tennessee, where Gene serves in the music ministry as a vocalist and musician. He is also active in the Catholic Cursillo Movement. Gene holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership from the University of Memphis.
