“No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”  John 15:13

This Bible passage has always been a favorite of mine – what a true sacrificial gift of love to lay down one’s life for another. On Memorial Day, we honor and pray for the many military personnel who have laid down their lives so that we may be free. Jesus made a similar sacrifice for us through his death and Resurrection.

Catholic Leadership Institute is blessed to have many veterans amongst our participants, donors, Board members, Task Force members, staff, and volunteer leaders – what a gift! We remember their fallen brethren in a special way the Memorial Day.

We ardently pray for all those who gave their lives in service of our country. On Tuesday, June 1, at 2:45pm EST, we will have a special prayer service honoring these men and women.

Please email us with any individuals for whom you would like us to pray – we will mention each by name. If you would like to join us for prayer that day, let us know, and we would be happy to send you the link.

May all of those we have lost rest in peace, and may we always remember and be inspired by their selfless, courageous leadership!
