Dear Friend in Christ,
Today, as our country marks 250 years as a nation, I look back and think of our Founding Fathers and the courage it took to establish a new nation where men, women, and children were called forth to live in freedom with one another. They shared something greater than all their differences: a united “yes” to something more for their country.
On this same day 35 years ago, we hosted Catholic Leadership Institute’s first leadership program — a LEAP retreat in Pecos River, NM. Here, I think again of incredible leaders who have answered God’s call with a resounding “yes.” They are leaders like you who have been with Catholic Leadership Institute in our mission for over three decades.
God’s goodness knows no limits! We see this from our humble beginnings to where we are today, having served 140+ dioceses, 300+ bishops, 5,000+ priests, 42,000+ parish and diocesan staff, and with over 1 million respondents to the Disciple Maker Index survey.
As the founder of Catholic Leadership Institute, I know that God put you in our path for a reason. While my “yes” 35 years ago was the beginning of this organization, your “yes” has made CLI what it is today. You are changing lives and creating a legacy that will have an eternal impact.
Know of my prayers for you today in a special way. I thank God for you and for all He has done and continues to do through Catholic Leadership Institute.
